I (Graham) accidentally spent 2 hours in the morning fishing instead of cooking breakfast. THis sort of handicapped our early morning get away, but we finally left Jervis Bay just after breakfast. We will definately go back there because the beaches are some of the best we have seen.
Anway, we hit the road and went to Narooma, where they have an "Australian Rock". The hole in the middle looks like Australia. Sort of:
We also spotted some seals snoozing on the rocks
Cruised along until Central Tilba, and stopped at a cheese factory there. We were planning to go to Bega to see the cheese making there, but were told that they dont show the cheese being made anymore. Instead, the "ABC Cheese Factory" in Tilba" have the suited up guys working in a glass room so that anyone can watch. We did some cheese tasting, and bought some Firecracker, Garlic and Olice, and Chive cheeses. All very nice.
It was clear that we were not going to get a lot of miles done again, so we headed for Gilards Beach in Mimosa Rocks National Park. The beach was nice, but back to yellow sand. There were loads of Kangaroos and Walabys roaming around, and once again, were not afraid of people.
We had stopped at Bermagui on the way and pickup up some fresh seafood for dinner. So with camp all set for the night, we had dinner and a nice cold beverage.
